The AWC Foundation provides assistance to disabled adults who do not qualify for benefits. When a working adult becomes disabled, it can take two years or longer to collect disability benefits through our Social Security Disability Benefit System here in the United States.
That two year waiting period can be financially and emotionally devastating for many individuals.
Our foundation steps in and helps these individuals maintain a life of improved health and dignity during this difficult life transition.
We also offer a unique opportunity for these disabled individuals to give back to the community through our foundation. If physically able, individuals can assist the foundation with part-time work though our Volunteer Services Program. They will be able to work at home and help the foundation with various support services.
If needed, assistance can be given to help disabled individuals prepare to re-enter the work force, if physically possible.
The AWC Foundation provides assistance to communities by helping the disadvantaged acquire housing. The foundation also teaches individuals to be responsible homeowners.
Our mission is to remove disadvantaged individuals from the government public assistance payroll, by helping them become responsible homeowners and self-sufficient wage-earning citizens.
